Room stories

Room stories

Every morning's edit is built for one stage — a console, an entry, a table, a mantel. These are the composition rules behind each one.

Start with the method

Ten pieces, one palette, one room story — and a set that has to hold together before it goes live. If you only read one page, read how we choose the daily ten. It explains the standard every edit has to pass, including the ones we reject.

The Christmas house

When the season is the whole point, walk it room by room. A bowl, a mantel, a stair, and one lighted house.

The four stages

A finished home moment does not require a renovation. It requires one surface, treated properly. These are the four we return to.

How to use these

Each page teaches the rule first, then shows how today’s edit executes it. The specific pieces change every morning at 8am ET — the method does not. Read the story that matches the surface you are trying to finish, then see whether today’s ten fit it.

When the whole vignette feels right, you can take all ten and the set is yours at twenty-five percent off. That is an edit reward for finishing the story, not a clearance coupon.

Today's ten are already chosen.
